Advanced treatments, always built on healthy skin. Microneedling and nanoneedling are part of a personalised plan to support stronger, healthier skin for the long term.

Skin rejuvenation that works with your skin, not against it
At SKIN by Leanne Moss, microneedling and nanoneedling are advanced treatments designed to improve skin texture, encourage natural skin renewal and support healthier-looking skin.
Both treatments use specialist needling technology but work at different depths to achieve different results.
As a corneotherapist, my priority is always to protect your skin barrier. That's why microneedling is only available to existing clients who have been following a personalised homecare routine and in-clinic treatments for at least three months. Your skin needs to be strong, healthy and properly prepared before we begin.
Microneedling vs Nanoneedling
Both treatments support skin rejuvenation, but they work in different ways. Whether you're looking to improve fine lines, acne scarring, uneven texture or simply give your skin a healthier, more radiant appearance, I'll recommend the treatment best suited to your skin.
Microneedling
For more intensive skin rejuvenation
Microneedling uses very fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering its natural repair process and encouraging collagen and elastin production.
As the skin repairs and remodels itself, it can help improve the appearance of:
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Uneven skin texture
-
Acne scarring
-
Loss of firmness
-
Enlarged pores
-
Certain types of pigmentation
Nanoneedling
A gentler approach to skin rejuvenation
Nanoneedling works more superficially than microneedling, making it a gentler option for clients who want to improve the appearance of their skin without the intensity of deeper needling.
It can help support:
-
Smoother skin texture
-
Improved hydration and radiance
-
The appearance of fine lines
-
Dull or tired-looking skin
-
Overall skin rejuvenation

Healthy skin comes first
Preparing your skin for needling
Great results start long before your appointment. Alongside your personalised homecare routine, we'll focus on four essentials:
Essential fatty acids (EFAs): Supporting skin health through your diet and, where appropriate, supplements such as Bare Biology liquid omega oil.
Hydration: Aiming for around two litres of water daily, adjusted to your individual needs.
Daily SPF: Protecting your skin with sunscreen every day, whatever the weather.
Vitamin A skincare: Using appropriate vitamin A products, including those within the Prologic range, to support healthy skin function and renewal.
These foundations help us prepare your skin for treatment and support its recovery afterwards.
How does microneedling work?
Microneedling works by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering its natural healing response and encouraging collagen and elastin production.
This process happens in three overlapping stages:
01. Inflammation
The skin activates its natural healing response, increasing blood flow and beginning the repair process.
02. Proliferation
New skin cells, collagen and blood vessels begin to form as the skin repairs itself.
03. Remodelling
Collagen and elastin continue to develop and reorganise, helping to improve skin texture, firmness and the appearance of fine lines and scars.
What results can I expect?
Microneedling isn't about instant results. Your skin continues to repair and remodel itself in the weeks and months following treatment.
Over time, you may notice:
-
Smoother skin texture and a more even-looking complexion
-
Softer fine lines and wrinkles as collagen production increases
-
Improved appearance of acne scars and other textural irregularities
-
Firmer-looking skin with improved elasticity
-
A healthier, more radiant appearance as your skin renews
Results vary depending on your skin's condition and individual concerns, which is why I usually recommend an initial course of three treatments, spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart.
